I would like to thank the committee of Richmond Championship show for inviting me to award cc’s for the first time at their show. Also a big thank you for all the exhibitors who battled the Friday traffic. I had a very enjoyable day.
I will not mention bites in my critiques as these were all good, as were tails. However some exhibits could have moved better behind, front construction also seemed a problem with weak pasterns and upright and/or short upper arms.

1st Grimshaw’s Greyflax Domino To Jamalison.
2 Year old male finer built than 2nd but pleasing to the eye in profile with a kind expression and nice head with good ear set. Adequate upper arm and good lay of shoulder balanced to rear quarters. Moved out well. I feel he should improve with age.
2nd Finnett and Heathcote’s Hyndsight Deckard.
Very shapely 2 year old with a good head and length of neck. Good depth of body and width throughout. Lovely top line. I would have just liked a little more length of leg. He was little unsettled today.

Shapely, but finely built dog with good rear end angulation low set hocks and good second thigh. Good head planes and nice ear set. Moved the best in the class.
2nd Grimshaw’s Greyflax The Jazz Singer.
Larger dog than 1st Overall shape was pleasing with good length of body and loin with nicely proportioned hind quarters and width. Unsettled on the move and a little wide in front however he wasn’t cooperating with handler well today.

Very shapely outstanding dog with a nice head and expression, very nice front end with good width and depth of body but with out being over done. Lovely hind quarters with that lovely second thigh that so many seem to lack. Moved out very well in profile and true when coming and going. CC
2nd Helps Beardswood Quinlan.
Another quality dog who I have had the privilege of going over before a very nicely put together strong frame good feet well boned fore legs and very true front. Moves very well but a little over weight and that seemed to lose his top line. Just a little squarer in form than 1st. Well deserving of RCC.

1st Lucas and Dargonne’s Packway Little Loxley.
8 ½ Month old girl, Quite slight in her build but a beautiful outline with a very feminine head, good eye and ear set. Balanced in her build and hopefully will grow on. Very true in movement once handler slowed down, with a better top line on the move than when stood. B.P.
2nd Finnett and Heathcote’s Hyndsight Mandolin Wind.
Promising puppy with lovely proportions good length of body and general size. More rise of top line over loin than 1st with a well made frame good shoulder placement complimented rear very well. She would not settle on the move which was a shame. Pushed hard for 1st.

Very Pretty head, nice eye and ear set. Would just like a little more size, however a nice overall outline on the move with good depth of body. Nice extension on the move.

1st Helps Beardswood Taisie.
A very shapely dark bitch that took my eye straight away. Although feminine through out she was far nicer to go over than many of the males in the strength of her body, her harsh coat is shorter than most and so could hide nothing, with a lovely head, strong neck leading to well laid shoulders just the right amount of width in front and through out. A nice cut up with good length of loin beautiful hind quarters. Moved with ease to gain her the RCC.
2nd Adams Stranwith Nia For Zandahar.
Pretty but finer than 1st good harsh coat. Nice feet, a little straight in upper arm but moved true coming and going with a good top line on the move.

1st Finnett and Heathcote Hyndsight Because The Night
Excellent quality bitch. Head with all correct proportions nice eye and ear. Strong and good reach of neck leading onto good width of shoulder blades with an excellent return of upper arm and well laid shoulders, depth of brisket and fore chest excellent. Correct spring of rib good length of loin and rise over loin and fall away of croup. Hind quarters balanced very well to front good bone throughout. Moved out well with effortless movement, on the free stand elbows parallel into body with good straight legs and tight feet. CC BOB short listed in the group
2nd Lucas and Dargonne Hyndsight Reason to Believe.
Pretty bitch but just lacked the substance and top line of 1st. Moved very true coming and going with good extension in profile.

1st Helps and Dove’s CH Foxcliffe Classic Liberty Freedom At Beardswood.
A quality bitch who was just a little over weight. Another that was a pleasure to go over with a beautiful made frame particularly in her rib cage length and strength of loin with a very nice back end. Moved excellent coming and going but just drops her top line on the move due to carrying a bit too much weight.
2nd Girlings Pyefleet Sabine
A larger frame than some with a slightly less feminine head. A well put together bitch with good upper arm and shoulder angles. Good depth of body and width. An overall balanced bitch with good strength and agility in her build. Unfortunately was not moving well today.
